These are not small files. They will not play in real time, right-click (or whatever your web browser uses) and save it to a file. Then play it once its downloaded. This was originally shot on 16mm film without sound, then digitized in 2015. The image size is 2048 x 1526.

They are matroska files containing H264 video. I use mplayer and mpv to play them. If you're not on a Unix box the easiest program to find which can play them is probably VLC. The offical page is http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ . Its opensource and free.

If you want stills, I have the uncompressed files. Just give me a frame number or minute:second and I can get you a jpeg or png.
