I like to program WS2812 and similar Intelligent Lighting. Unfortunately I was so into the results I didn't take much video. The general idea: An Arduino or similar microcontroller sends color information to the LEDs. The code is written to generate interesting colors and transitions. Sometimes these can be free running, but it's more interesting if they are responsive to something in the environment. The Arduino's analog input channels can be used to measure things like temperature, sound level, or touch senses to influence the display. |
